Mipojip has seven pot rice dishes in all — sotbap, rice cooked and served in its own pot. The prices fall into three tiers, 22,000원, 25,000원 and 40,000원: four dishes at 22,000원, two at 25,000원 and one at 40,000원. The ingredient in each name is the centre of that pot, so putting the names and the photos next to each other makes the differences clear right away.
The seven Mipojip pot rice dishes and their prices
| Menu | Price |
|---|---|
| Abalone pot rice | 22,000원 |
| Octopus pot rice | 22,000원 |
| Short rib pot rice | 22,000원 |
| Prawn and octopus cream pot rice | 22,000원 |
| Scallop pot rice | 25,000원 |
| Bulgogi and octopus pot rice | 25,000원 |
| Eel pot rice | 40,000원 |
Grouping the dishes by price makes choosing easier. Four are gathered at 22,000원, two at 25,000원 and one at 40,000원.
22,000원 — abalone, octopus, short rib, prawn and octopus cream
The Abalone pot rice in the photo has abalone on top. Beside the abalone you can also see mushrooms and spring onion.

Octopus pot rice is sliced octopus topped with spring onion and sesame seeds. In another photo, black seaweed and ginkgo nuts are arranged around the sliced octopus.

Short rib pot rice is the meat-centred dish in this price tier. In the photo, short rib sliced along the grain sits on the rice with egg and broccoli, and in another photo there is egg yolk and pickled lotus root beside the marinated, grilled short rib.

Prawn and octopus cream pot rice has octopus, soy-cured prawn and flying fish roe arranged around the edge, with an egg yolk on the cream in the middle. It is a different dish from Octopus pot rice, whose name is similar. If you see cream, soy-cured prawn and flying fish roe together, it is the Prawn and octopus cream pot rice; the one with sliced octopus, spring onion and sesame seeds is the Octopus pot rice.

25,000원 — scallop, bulgogi and octopus
Scallop pot rice comes with grilled scallop, broccoli and flying fish roe on top. There is also a photo taken with the whole pink scallop shells laid on top, and lifting the shells away reveals the grilled scallop beneath.

Bulgogi and octopus pot rice has seasoned nakji (octopus) on one half and bulgogi on the other, with spring onion on top. In another photo too, the spicy seasoned octopus and the bulgogi each fill half of the pot. The 'bul-nak' in the Korean name is bulgogi and nakji, and this is the only pot here that holds seafood and meat together.

40,000원 — eel
Eel pot rice covers the rice with marinated, grilled eel and is scattered with spring onion and sesame seeds. It is the highest-priced of the Mipojip pot rice dishes. Eel pot rice is the only one at 40,000원, so it stands apart on the price list.

The photo below shows a piece of charcoal-grilled eel lifted onto a spoon together with rice. Under the eel is rice cooked in the pot.

Choosing by main ingredient
Sorted by main ingredient, the Mipojip pot rice dishes topped with seafood are Abalone pot rice, Octopus pot rice, Prawn and octopus cream pot rice, Scallop pot rice and Eel pot rice. The meat-centred one is Short rib pot rice, and Bulgogi and octopus pot rice holds octopus and bulgogi together.
Even within the same 22,000원 tier, abalone, octopus and prawn and octopus cream are on the seafood side while short rib is on the meat side, so the split is clear. The only pot rice with cream is the Prawn and octopus cream pot rice, and scallop, a shellfish, goes on the Scallop pot rice at 25,000원. Starting with whether the ingredient in the name is what you feel like eating makes it easy to narrow down the seven.
The photo below shows rice cooked in the pot being served out into a brassware bowl. There is also the scene at the top, a pot lid being lifted at a table facing the sea.

Other than pot rice
There are two soy-cured seafood sets. The signature Minyeo Haemuljang set (soy-cured seafood) is 43,000원, and the Soy-cured seafood set for one is 35,000원.
There are five additional dishes: Assorted soy-cured seafood, Soy-cured crab and Spicy marinated crab at 30,000원 each, and Crisp-grilled bulgogi and Stir-fried octopus at 25,000원 each. Adding the seven pot rice dishes, the full menu comes to fourteen.
The soy-cured seafood sets are, as the name says, a table centred on soy-cured seafood, while the pot rice dishes are named for what goes on the rice. Deciding first whether you want soy-cured seafood or a pot of rice makes the order of choosing simpler at the menu.
Menu items and prices may change depending on the restaurant's circumstances. Photos of the seven Mipojip pot rice dishes and the full menu can be seen on one screen at Menu, so checking the prices there once more just before you visit will be accurate. What kind of place the restaurant is can be found in The Mipojip Story, and the location and opening hours in Visit.
